We all know they exist, we know to be afraid of them, but we simply and blatantly refuse to acknowledge their existence, cause we starve to be the perfect godly being that we are. Now there are some kids running around in the digital space posting images like this and declaring that they have full authority over their true dark side but we know they all are naive dumb-dumbs who all think its something that can easily be handled.

However this article is in relation to the imagine dragons breakout track ‘Demons’ from their album night visions. The underlying message in the song is to true acknowledging the existence of our demons, accepting them as a part of ourselves and just overall not getting any false idea of having any control over them.

When the days are cold

And the cards all fold

And the blood’s run stale

When the time of absolution kicks in and there’s nowhere left to run, that is when all your plans go to shit and you have lost all hope, its about time they all try to come over and take control over us. Our demons are everything immoral that one self can do but we refuse to do it because of our morals ethics, our values are ultimate chains given to us to keep them in check, but when somehow our moral compass is off the chart for some reason, they are let loose.

The time of absolution is the deadliest of them all,

• all hope is lost, the warmth and love of companionship is gone from our lives,

• all the tricks up your sleeves that are your plans and back up plans are used up and failed miserably,

• we have no tangible savior at our disposal previous idols that came to our rescue once are long gone are just remembered now in memories.

• All of our dreams are turned into dust and all is gone fairly well

• It is also the time of testing out our true well wishers, what their true intentions? will they stay by our side or leave us for good?

We all are ugly beings in the flesh, trying our best to hide our flaws and insecurities. We wanna protect the ones we love from our ugly darkside, we simply don’t want them to hurt,be scared and run away from us.Our darkside is an untamable beast of existence that none of us can conquer completely no matter how hard we try. An example of this untamable side comes in the movie knock knock when the girls reveal that of all they have had over the years, none was able to refuse them inspite of being a family man.

Now this primal being living inside us goes everywhere we go, its a part of us and if we are in a position to take advantage of someone we will be compelled to do so naturally, now whether you do it or not it is up to you. Now this thing will never give up really it will keep tabs on you and will always be pretty something to handle as you also will be handling  the external environment as well. We are venomous creatures everything has a place and there is a place for everything, no matter how hard we try to lose control and get over our thoughts. By escaping into oblivion or in someone else’s world by observing them or straight up building a relationship with them, we can never escape the primal nature and over the time we will accept ourselves as greedy bastards rejoicing in this ridiculous acts of misery. This is our world, whether we like it or now, this is the best we can do and this what we’ll get in the end of our term.
